In order to improve the conditions of primary schools in poverty-stricken areas, CICC donated RMB 200,000 to China Youth Development Foundation for the Bayintalasumu Central School in Inner Mongolia to support the expansion and repairing of dilapidated classrooms. After the expansion and repairing were completed, the school was renamed as “CICC HOPE Primary School”.  On March 4th, 2003, the management of CICC attended the ribbon cutting ceremony of the school and contributed some books and stationaries with total value of RMB 5,000 to the students.
