China International Capital Corporation (“CICC”) instantly carried out the donation activities upon the calamitous earthquake hitting Wenchuan in Sichuan Province. As one of the enterprises taking actions at the earliest stage, on 13 May 2008, CICC donated RMB 5 million to the Chinese Red Cross Foundation, which gave the donations to the disaster areas as the first batch on 14 May 2008.

On 14 May 2008, according to the emergency notification on Sichuan earthquake issued by China Securities Industry Association, CICC donatedadditional RMB 3 million. So far, CICC’s donation has totaled to RMB 8 million. Meanwhile, CICC’s staffs contributed more than RMB 750,000 to the earthquake areas.
