After “5.12” Wenchuan earthquake, CICC reacted immediately to take part in a series of fund raising activities and donated around RMB 8.75 MM.

On August 29, the first project CICC donated post the earthquake – CICC Fraternity Middle School in Lueyang County of Hanzhong City, Shanxi Province (formerly Guozhen Middle School) – held the cornerstone laying ceremony. CICC donated RMB 3.5 MM to this project. Wangba Village Clinic of Kang County, Longnan City, Gansu Province which CICC donated RMB 0.4 MM held the ceremony on the same day.

On September 3, CICC Fraternity Middle School in An County, Sichuan Province (formerly Yuexing Middle School) laid the foundation. CICC invested RMB 3 MM into this project.
