CICC Charity Foundation Donated Extracurricular Reading Materials to Sponsored Schools in Celebration of CPC Centennial
To celebrate the centennial of the founding of CPC, CICC Charity Foundation specially organized a book donation drive and sent high-quality extracurricular reading materials tochildren atits sponsored schools.
At the end of May, the first batch of 504 donated books were sent tothe Maixieti Primary School in Xinjiang, the Anjiazao School in Shanxi and theDandelion School in Beijing as a special gift for kids at the Children’s Day.
On July 1, CICC Charity Foundation once again sent 348 carefully selected books with the theme of Party building suitable for teenagers to six sponsored schools. These books are expected to enable students to gain an in-depth understanding of the CPC’s history and to imbue them with the love for theParty, the nation and the socialist system.
At the end of August prior to the beginning of the new semester, the Foundation procured a total of 2,839 sets of books and sent them to eight schools, including the Xinfazhai Primary School in Wenshan City, Yunnan Province; the Dandelion School in Beijing; the Anjiazao School in Tianzhen County, Shanxi Province; the Maixieti Primary School in Songtake County of Artux City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region; the No. 1 Central Primary School in Lianfeng Town of Weiyuan County, Gansu Province; the Siyuan Experimental School in Huining County, Gansu Province; the Jingxing Primary School in Lingwu City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region; and the Furong School in Guzhang County, Hunan Province.
In December, as part of the book donation program, the Foundation donated about 3,000 sets of extracurricular reading materials to the Donghua Junior Middle School in Kaizhou District, Chongqing and the Yong’an Middle School in Fengjie County, Chongqing respectively.
