China International Capital Corporation (International) Limited (CICC International) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Kazakhstan’s “Baiterek” National Managing Holding JSC (Baiterek) and Qatar’s Power International Holdings (PIH) on 9th June 2023.

Barry Chan, Head of Investment Banking, Hong Kong, CICC and Head of Asia Australia region, CICCI, Moutaz Al Khayyat, Group Chairman of PIH and Kanat Sharlapaev, Chairman of Baiterek signed the MOU on behalf of the three organizations.

The tripartite agreement delineates a collaboration framework to explore and discuss investment opportunities of agricultural projects in Kazakhstan. The collaboration helps strengthen strategic ties among private sectors in Kazakhstan, Qatar and China. CICC demonstrates continued efforts and commitment towards Kazakhstan and Central Asia as part of its internationalization strategy. CICC will continue expanding its presence and deepening its network with local partners and clients in the two regions.
