2017: A successful year in securitization by CICC FICC


According to the statistical data published by Asset Management Association of China (“AMAC”) on March 5th 2018, by the end of 2017, CICC had successfully filed 50 ABS transactions with AMAC for a total volume of RMB 94.935 billion, ranking second in the market. Of CICC’s total ABS filings, CICC FICC (Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities, “FICC”) successfully filed 44 ABS transactions totaling RMB 82.265 billion.

By the end of February 2018, FICC had issued 62 ABS transactions totaling RMB 146.63 billion in all the major ABS markets in China including Shanghai Stock Exchange, Shenzhen Stock Exchange, China Interbank Market, inter-OTC market, Yindeng Center, etc.

Since the CSRC Filing System Reform, FICC has successfully issued ABS transactions backed by a variety of underlying assets including receivables in consumer finance, leases, accounts receivables and fee income rights, etc., benefiting from close collaborations among its product structuring, research, distribution and trading capabilities, and offering our clients with comprehensive solutions in structured financing.

Since it’s reestablishment in 2015, FICC has continued to strengthen capabilities in underwriting, distribution, products structuring and trading, to actively build up a comprehensive client service platform in all FICC markets.

In 2017, our FICC research team was ranked No.1 for Fixed Income Research by New Fortune and Crystal Ball in both of their annual award selections.
