CICC Staff Haizhou Huang Wins Pagano and Zechner Prize at EFA

The 45th European Finance Association (EFA) Annual Meeting was held from August 22-25, 2018 in Warsaw, Poland. At the meeting EFA released the result of its 2017/8 Best Paper Award and held a ceremony for the award.

Haizhou Huang, Managing Director of CICC, and Patrick Bolton, the Barbara and David Zalaznick Professor of Finance and Economics at Columbia Business School, won the Pagano and Zechner Prize for their paper published in the Review of Finance titled The Capital Structure of Nations.

The Pagano and Zechner Prize, organized by EFA, is awarded to the best non-investments paper published in the EFA's official journal Review of Finance within the past year.

EFA was created in 1974 under the auspices of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and in close cooperation with the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM). EFA's mission is to foster a professional society for academics, practitioners, and doctoral students in the greater field of Finance, who are interested in research areas such as financial management and financial theory along with their applications.
