Astana International Exchange (“AIX”) is the first international exchange in Central Asia, providing global investors access to the financial market in this region. AIX was established in Astana International Financial Center ("AIFC"), which is an international services center helping Kazahstan to attract foreign investors. CICC obtained AIX’s remote membership via CICCHKS in 2018 and became the first international member of AIX.

CICC was invited to attend the fifth annual Astana Finance Days (“AFD”) conference hosted by AIFC. For a fruitful ending of the AFD “Belt & Road Initiative Session”, CICC signed a Memorandum of Understanding with AIX to further collaborate and promote RMB products as well as secure a spot as a frontline partner of AIX and Kazakhstan’s financial reformation. 

Mr. Barry Chan, Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking HK and Head of Asia-Australia Region signed the Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of CICC in Nur-sultan, Kazakhstan with Mr. Zharas Mussabekov, Chief Financial Officer with AIX.
