Memorandum of Understanding Signing Between CICC and SGX

On June 30th, 2020, China International Capital Corporation Limited (“CICC”) and the Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) on strategic cooperation officially. 

According to the MoU, CICC and SGX will jointly explore comprehensive and in-depth cooperation in fields of Investment Banking, Equities, FICC, Private Equity, Asset Management, Wealth Management and Research, and actively capture the business opportunities in deepened interconnection, cross-border capital introduction, and Chinese companies pursuing access to Singapore capital market.

CICC CEO Zhaohui Huang said, “The strategic cooperation is of great significance for CICC to accelerate our international strategy. Leveraging our profound knowledge in both domestic and oversea markets and rich experience in cross-border business, CICC will work closely with SGX to make our mutually beneficial partnership solid and concrete. By joining forces, CICC and SGX will contribute to the connectivity and prosperity of China and Singapore capital markets.”

SGX CEO Loh Boon Chye said, “We look forward to this partnership with CICC, to bridge the financial markets of China and Singapore, for businesses and investors to seek diversification and new opportunities across asset classes. With CICC’s experience and deep client reach in China and international markets, we will work together to unlock fund-raising and investment opportunities for companies and investors from China and beyond.”
